@Attacking Mid - Thanks so much for spotting this video.
I had looked on YouTube, but used the search keyword "fascia" (what BMW calls it) instead of bumper. I did try "bumper" at one point only to get an avalanche of hits, getting hunting fatigue before seeing this gem. We'll give the procedure a try next week and see how much latent damage there is to the underlying metalwork.
