Glow plug relay + glow plugs 2008.3.0 D Msport

Hi

I bit confused since some shops offer 5V system some 12V so which one is correct? I guess both. plugs and relay, need to be the same voltage.

Also, I the past I have replaced a few glow plugs in. Once I had a problem with Merc ML270 when plug broke. Any horror stories with M57? I guess engine needs to be worm when undoing the plugs?
