If you are referring to the list of option codes below the Add button, those are the codes that are already in the VO.
You need to enter +AHMU in the Feature box, then select Add.

Thanks - I'll give that a try! I had thought that the text box was just a way to filter the options in the list below, but since that was a complete dead-end, I like your way better! |

And this may be a longshot, but I've seen a list of parameters that need to be changed in several places, but none with explanation of what each does, and, in particular, which ones may only be needed for the European-style motorized swing-out hitch. Do you know what the significance of these are (apart from the backup camera one, which I noted, below)? HKL SCH_FBD - aktiv SCH_TOEHKI - aktiv TASTER_FBD - aktiv FRM-these should be written in LWR_STROM_HALT - wert_01 LWR_STROM_NORMAL - wert_01 LWR_STROM_RAMPE - wert_01 KOMBI AHM_APPL_MONITOR - aktiv RPDC ANHAENGERKUPPLUNG - aktiv AHK_OFFSET - offset_1 AHK_AUSBLENDUNG - aktiv CIC MACRO_TRAILER_COUPLING - aktiv - (this enables a 2x zoom option on the hitch area for the backup camera) AHM LAENERVARIANTE_AHM - us CCMELDUNG_ABRISS_AHV - cc_04bh CCMELDUNG_FEHLER_AHM - cc_04bh CCMELDUNG_VERRIEGEL_AHV - cc_04bh START_CCM - klemme_15 TYP_AHV_SG - keine_ahv SL_BEI_KZL_AKTIV - nicht_aktiv |

Finished installing my brake controller today and went out to at least make the connection with the trailer to see if things were working, and everything seems to be working as expected, using the coding above:
1. When the trailer is attached (pigtail) and I'm in reverse, there are no beeping proximity sensors 2. The backup camera shows an icon for the hitch on the right side of the iDrive screen for the "zoom in on the hitch" view. Unlike everything else that appears there, you can't activate it by either clicking with the iDrive controller or pushing it to the right; instead, rotate it clockwise to move down to the corresponding hitch value in the items on the left side of the display and click to get to hitch view 3. Brake lights and turn signals work 4. The brake controller recognizes being hooked up to the trailer I'm still adjusting my weight-distribution hitch, so didn't actually try it out with the brake controller (opted for a Tekonsha 90920, with the "dash" component mounted in the rear of the car by the trailer wiring for now, using the Bluetooth app to make adjustments as needed), and I'm not sure how I can safely test to see how the stability control incorporates the motion of the trailer, but at least things appear to be working correctly with the coding above. |
