Adaptive headlight fault
2009 X5 E70 adaptive headlight fault. Scanner says bad communication between footwell module and left and right headlights. I don't want to throw parts at this. Why can't the fault be located exactly. All components inspected for water, corrosion. All look good. Thoughts? |

Has your FRM been replaced under the extended warranty? The scanner says both left AND right headlights. My fault was isolated to the left headlamp module. It's been intermittent for years and hasn't been a problem in at least that long as of late.

My car had an adaptive headlight (left)code and I just bought one of the cheap modules on Ebay, replaced it and that fixed it. Haven't had any issue in two years.
