First try the radios settings you'll find a lot of hidden adjustments that probably have not been touched or explored... mostly found in the radio's owner's manual.

We have a 2013 with the standard Hi-Fi sound. Its not horrible (certainly not awesome though), but using the equalizer to adjust the sound to my liking helped a lot. Also impressed that after 13 years, the speakers don't sound like utter crap..
Anyway, Google is your friend, there are plenty of people who have dropped coin on nier audio systems.. This should get you started at least: https://www.xbimmers.com/forums/show....php?t=1774331 https://www.bimmerfest.com/threads/e...ensive.432296/ Here is an F15 X5 system that shows sky's the limit.. https://musaicdesign.com/collection/2016-bmw-x5/
