Answering all your 2007 X5 questions (before November 06)

Since questions about the new X5, due out on the street in late November, keep coming up I figured I would sum up the ultimate thread on the topic.

-----------------
What will it look like?

Rumor has it that, according to BF 'sitings', it will look the like the RED pic on LeMansX5's site:

Quick fix:
Any post about the 2007 X5 will result in the following:

50% of responders will tell you they hate it and that they are sticking with the E53 come hell or high water.

25% will tell you it blows and they are leaving BMW altogether because of this atrocity.

25% will tell you, 'how about we actually wait till the car comes out to judge it'

Q&A Time:
------------------
When will the 2007 X5 get released?
Some time in late November, I was told November 25th by my dealer.

What will the 2007 X5 have that is different from the current X5?
Nobody knows for sure. There are rumors of a 3rd row seat option (heard this from the same dealer who gave me the date), there are also rumors that some packages will include I-Drive.

What engines with the X5 have?
I was told by a dealer it will have an option for the 3.0 255hp motor or the 4.8 360hp engine. Anyone who says otherwise is simply guessing.

What transmission is offered?
No news on this. A US manual is out of the question but a Domestic manual may be available.

Will the new X5 be longer and heavier?
Yes. 6" longer to be exact.

What will it look like?
As of this posting, NOBODY KNOWS. There are a ton of photo-chopped and 'test mule' pics floating around. LeMansX5 is your best single source for pics/info on this topic.

To sum it up:
Anyone commenting on a vehicle (both favorably or not) that hasn't even been released to the public is out of their damn mind. Wait until mid-Summer when real pics of the new X5 start floating in, then make up YOUR mind. And remember, just because you think something blows or is great, doesn't mean the rest of the world will...and NO your individual opinion is not going to effect BMW sales. I don't think the CEO is up late at night hoping that BobE53X5 on the X5World board thinks the E70 is a hit.

Peace Out.
