The X6 mule in the back is wearing the top-line 5-Y-spoke E70 X5 rims. Do you like it?

From that angle of the comparison above, the rear side window of the E53 looks longer than the E70. I still can't see how they are going to have a 3rd row in there unless it is deceptively bigger than it appears. Speaking of, I heard that the 3rd row option may not be available at launch. Can anyone confirm?

They look a little like the ones on mini cooper web spoke. Need to see them on both wheels.

I like em', but they remind me too much of the sport wheels on the new Ford S-Max.

E71 is new X5 Security / Protection.
E72 has been initially used for X6, but now they also use F06.

True. The car successfully covers its size, especially in the pics. IRL the true dimensions can be seen much clearly.

Some markets maybe, not US.

Not really. Reminds me of the 19s on an '01 X5 we had in the family. And those Chevy Trailblazer flares have got to go.

X6 is based on E70 X5 platform.

The mules carry underneath the suspension architecture and special chassis developments being developed for the upcoming BMW X6. Therefore you will see havily cladded X5 mules even after E70 public showing.

The mules are strictly for suspension & chasis testings.

X6 body will be applied later in development phases - first with heavy camo , then in final FEP phases with tape only.
