Question about the DVD player

I'm ordering an 07 X5 and will definitely get the 3rd row and DVD player. I've seen the videos on youtube and couldn't help but wonder..is the DVD screen the armrest for the driver? Folded and stowed, it's almost in that exact position. Anyway, I'm new here and look forward to hearing and learning more about the new X5

I understand the rear screen option is an 8inch monitor which when put to bed, twists on a single knuckle point and turns and folds down over the centre console armrest, it is not the armrest. Therefore how you position it when driving is upto you.

By the way - Welcome
