ventilated seats... worth it? what if you spill something??

anyone use the ventilated seats before... and if so, would you get it again?

what if you spill water on the seat... will it go through the holes easily and ruin the mechanism underneath?

does it feel ok... or is the perforation noticable?

thanks.

except that ventilated seats have holes in them... heated seats alone don't.

They are not really big holes; just like the size of the wholes for heated seats. My friend has them in his IS350 and they are awesome in the summer and great for playing jokes on people. I think it's something you would regret if you don't get...

However, if you pass gas, it just might ruin the vent mechanism....

I have used them in a M-B S500 and a BMW 760Li. They are pretty good and do help with ventilating as opposed to air conditioning which is what some people expect. The 760Li was excellent and if I recall correctly, ventilated the seat and seatback. The Lexus IS350 only does the seat portion and when I test drove one, I barely noticed it.

Personally, I'd get it. That is one thing that you might want later and a retrofit will either be impossible or very price prohibitive. Same goes for Comfort Access.

100%... Wouldn't worry about a spill - just be careful, no? I don't think it would hurt any mechanism, just clog a few channels perhaps. I'd get 'em for sure...

You can't get tobacco color with ventilated seats for 2007 model.
