It's nut man...been sick with the flu for 2 weeks, started a new job, still working on the house in the evening/weekends....trust me, I'm sick of it all!

This is the last 'fixer upper' I'm going to buy.

just from these pics (and not pics from brochures or others....) it looks more like an X3 than an X5.
I know it's optical illusion of the new design since the new one is bigger in dimensions than the e53 but from these pics it looks like it won't have same presense on the road. from the rear quarter they should have made the back wider, more agressive stance from side profile, rear needs to be a little higher. one thing e53 will always have is a great ass (rear), which x70 could have come close to if rear was wider...

That's exactly what I was saying about the rear! Didn't seem too agressive and when you pull up to a current e53, you know its a X5. I guess I have to see it in person since pics never do any justice.

another view of the rear end change is similar to M3 and new 335ci, if you look at (old) e46 M3 rear you feel agressive rear end wheel arches sticking out, etc., then if you look at the rear of a 335ci, you even see same subtle design that new X5 has in the tailights, you have a feel of finesse, but then you look over at a honda accord rear end, and say hmmm sh**t too similar to it.

i'm all for evolving, but sometimes design is timeless, sometimes is not as unique as others.
