X5+M3 or M5

hey all, as u all know i got a X5 4.8 on order, but something have just come up which make me have to make a choose, i can either get a X5 or a M5 now, if i get the X5 i will be able to get a M3 when it comes out. Well the whole point is i really don't need 2 cars. I do love the M5, the only thing i am worry about is winter driving as i'll only have 1 car. What u guys think?

Get the X5 and M3. The new V8 M3 should be as fast as the M5 or very close. The E39 M5 and E46 M3 had almost identical performance numbers and a very close power to wieght ratio. I suspect the same for the E60 M5 and E90 M3.

Get the X and the M, having had the X5 and M3...you can't go wrong with both!

Love to see an M5 try to get through the winter in Vancouver

M5 would be fine in winter in Vancouver. My dealer is supplying 550 rims with winter tires for the M5 aily drivers here.

Getting both when paying for insurance on both is an issue is "crazy". Doesn't compute that someone considering an M5 would care about the cost of insurance.

if you stop the insurance will one vehicle be in a garage or someplace safe?
i grew up in the city and had vehicles stolen & vandalized.
it would be sad to see such an expensive car damaged with no coverage.
here in the states if you have a lien on the car it's the law to have car insurance.

dont know if your were financing or buying outright...

but if you can afford both cars, how can a few grand for insurance be a factor?
