Brake Dust on 2007 X5?

Almost all X5's I see have an inordinate amount of brake dust. Why is this, and will this be corrected on the new model? Doing a search shows only 4 threads on this problem.

It likely won't change, although it's all purely speculation at this point.

Exactly. Bit noisier but much less dust.

Ceramic brakes are a $15,000 option on a Ferrari. Maybe BMW will make that available for that price- hahahaha

Many of us have switched to Axxis Deluxe brake pads...some (like me) did it with only a few thousand miles on the vehicle. They stop just as well as stock, there is no noise and there is VERY LITTLE DUST. It takes a month of driving to build up the same amount of crap on the wheels that only a few days would deliver from the stock pads. This really is a must have mod...
