bmw.ca updated

Check it out. I think saddle brown might be the mystery colour.

I wasn't given that option in USA. I wonder if it's Canada and ROW only?

Wow...

Big rpice jump confirmed. Suddenly, a fully optioned MB 320 CDI does not look that bad. Optioning out an X5 with 4.8 engine, sports, adaptive, heating, technology at $85K...may as well spring for either $5K less for a fully optioned ML 320 CDI and save the fuel charges or spring the extra 10K for the ML63. Somebody at BMW (Canada?) has lost their marbles.

Totally Agree with the WOW !!!

Seriously thinking of cancelling my X5 ordrer ... Driving my wife's X3 ... and ordering her something else that is cheaper.

As per my comments on a previous thread ....

1st it was the Cdn MSRP and now the Interest Rate ....
Bend over one more time my fellow Canucks

For a 36 month and 24,000 km/yr

Interest Rate = 6.9%
(~ Base Money Factor = 0.002875)
Residual = 55%

My turn to agree with BoKnows X...

Normally, I have no problem paying for any taxes...the socialist in me happy to share in the benefits of what opportunity has given me. However, with this price discrepancy between purchasing in the US and Canada, I would happily and subversively try to obtain a vehicle from the US and bring it to Canada. regardless of which government failed to rectify whatever taxes we pay that results in the inflated Canadian prices, I would find fault with any current government that cannot swiftly remove it once brought to their attention. This is inexcusable. And to add to my Christmas wish list, I would like to see a lemon law brought to Canada.

My weekend rant complete.

It is NOT Taxes that result in the difference between Canada and US prices. It is just the way BMW Canada and other Canadian Car Companies decided to price the cars.

We got use to the high exchange rate and Car companies in Canada will not equalize the exchange between Canada and US prices until the consumer starts to complain!
