Vpc?
and did a search for VPC. Does the X5 comming out of SC go to a VPC or is this done in SC. Just wondering. thx in advance

Depends what the destination is.
West coast cars go from factory to VPC via train. Are prepped at VPC and then trucked to dealers. East coast cars go direct from SC to dealers. Sucks to be sitting in Seattle - my car left the factory on 12/21 and has still not been unloaded at the VPC |

Vehicle preperation center. It is located at the port where BMWs arrive for the West coast via rail and ship. Located north of Los Angeles

For X5 going to east coast there is a VPC across the street from the factory in SC. For BMW's coming to east coast from Germany there is a VPC in NJ. For west coast the VPC is in Oxnard, CA.
I am sure you have seen the big white trucks with white curtains to hide cars and Bavarian Transport or PMTG written on drivers door. They are carrying BMWs inside. Unlike Audis and MBs which are transported in open trucks. Check this link on what happens at VPC |
