Light floor sills + lights package

Hi all,

Just 2 quick questions

1.
Has anyone ordered the floor light sill panels, when entering the 5 or gotten this on a car they've ordered.

I caught the sills in the accessories brochure, online - though does it look neat?? in use

2.
With the lights that go on at night, is it just lights under the exterior mirrors, or do all lights incl. xenons etc blaze up when you unlock the car

My mates New Golf R32 has the xenons that come on, when you unlock the doors

Thanks

Re Question 1. I have the lighted sills on my Z4 - they are cool but they are only visible in low light so most of the time I do not notice them. One of them burnt out - I am waiting for spring when I take it out of storage to have it replaced (part was on back order). My winter car is an E 53 X5, waiting for my January production E70. I have not ordered the lighted sills for the X5. There are other more interesting things for now - like will I still need snow tires when it is finally delivered.

Slalom....what did you order as far as Sport/Non Sport goes, living in Canada as I do??
Did you get Adpative Drive and why?
I havent had a chance to drive the E70 yet....I did have a E53 and was a little unhappy as to its reliability.

I think when the car is turned off with the headlights on, and then locked, the next time you unlock the angel eyes and taillamps will illuminate, correct me if I'm wrong, though.

I ordered Sport and Adaptive Drive. My E53 has Sport and while I love it, the passengers in the back find the ride a little rough, I hope the the adaptive drive lets me soften the ride a bit when I have passengers. I chose the sport because my wife and I love to dirve the twisties as fast as posible. Sometime if we find a really good road we will turn around so that we can do it all over again! I was not sold on the dynamic drive steering thing but in Canada we can't have one without the other. Anyhow my psyco architect designed a garage/driveway that is twisty and tight so having the dynamic drive may be an advantage (its only a winter/family car anyhow).

I tested all the usual suspects and only the X5 gave me the feedback that I wanted . The others were just boring.

Where'd you get your wife and are there any more where she came from?

X5Jay -- bella Italia! In fact until the X5 she threatened to divorce me if I ever bought a car with an automatic transmission. She still prefers her 5 series at 100 mph.
