Cargo Cover

I am assuming there is no sliding cargo cover when you opt for the 3rd row seats.

I saw one in the showroom and there are the hardpoints to attach a cargo cover in a third row car. In addition I saw one on the lot that had both the cover and the seats. Unfortunately the cover does not appear to have the vertical net as it does in the 3 series touring and the X3. I am not sure how I am going to keep my dog in the cargo area. He treats the cargo area of my E53 like a dog crate.

According to the uk brochure, to get the vertical net you need to specify option 413 Luggage Compartment Net. There is a photo in the brochure which I will try to scan today at some point.

Thanks,

I had not seen that on the North American options lists, the only luggage net that I have seen is the floor net.

BMW should have made that a sunshade like the A6 avant...but come to think of it, the sun has to be really low to get glare there.

i like that option

The net will be available in NA, replaces the cargo cover and has attatchment points - dealer installed option - I was quoted total cost @ $900 Cdn installed.

I am going to take my dog to some more training sessions - Sit Nero Sit!
