actually, not that bad, IMO. 0-60 in 7.8 seconds.
When I drove it, after driving a 3.0 for years, it actually felt slower. Why?
The new engine is more refined and quieter. I'm not saying it's a better engine, it just feels different. You're just not going to hear as much of the engine if you are coming from a 3.0i. Shifts are also faster.
It's just a different feeling.

Acceleration

I'm concerned with acceleration into and out of traffic. How is that?

Thanks

Acceleration

Thanks,

I test drove it the first week it was released, for 15 mins, not long enough to tell. Maybe I'll test drive it again.

In 2006, the engines offered were 3.0,4.4,4.8 - now it's only 3.0 & 4.8 - it looks to me that the 4.4 was dropped, not replaced - and, as I've stated, my 4.4 gets better city mileage than the 4.8 (easily 17-18mpg)

I was only trying to bring out that the E70 has you filling up more often for local driving and stating my dismay they have not made more of an effort to get better mileage through weight reduction (actually, it's increased 400+lbs)

I believe the 4.4i is replaced by the 4.8i.
The 4.8is is dropped.
