Is your X5 delivery delayed?

I ordered my E70 3.0si on Friday Jan. 19. Got the production # on Monday Jan 22, and my X5 was completed and rolled out of the assembly line on Thursday Feb. 01. IT is now in transit to the Prep. Centre. I hope to get in a week or two from today.

I just bought a X5 yesterday, it has the active ventilated seats.
Of course this was not a special order, it was dealer stock.

This is my first post to this message board but I've been "lurking" for a few weeks! We learned a LOT about the car from this message board before we placed our order.

We ordered our 4.8i on 1/20. Due to all the mentions of delays, we called BMW NA to check the status and were told that it had a scheduled completion date of 2/9. We spoke with our salesman today who checked into the detailed status and said production was actually completed this morning and he expects it at their door in 10 days. We were shocked as we weren't expecting it to be ready until mid to late March!

exactly. Then they say they have more "quality control" to go thru and delay it.

Yeah... I suspected that would happen from the beginning. We shouldn't really be surprised.

The 1-800# now says our X5 is "awaiting transport to the exit location". Starting the countdown!
