I went back to my dealer today and asked to add the aerodynamic kit.
I was told that it was a dealer installed option and it cost around $3,500
bmw dealer located in long island, new york. Any feedback?

$2,200.00 for mine here in SoCal. Kit and paint-install incl.
Worth every penny! IMO. $3,500.00..... Can you say.... BEND OVER!
Get another estimate from a different STEALER.

The link finally helped me figure out what the aero kit actually added. It's a nice touch but the question for me then is how it looks on a black X5? Seemingly a black aero kit on a black vehicle would hardly be noticed. Anyone seen pics of that? Thanks.

This is my first foray into the world of X5 (and BMW in general for that matter) so I'll poke around looking at e53 pics. Thanks.
