Denalio, Praetorian and other Canadians:

I would like to know how long it took from Prod date to delivery for you....it seems from this and other forums that people are receiving in the US their E70's in around 3 weeks....I am at 3 weeks now but would imagine maybe another 3-4 days for delivery up here in Ontario....I have nothing special that would delay my order....Space Grey 3.0si with Camel interior,Premium,Sport & Tech.

Can't speak for Canada specifically, but mine was built 2/5/07 and was at the dealer by the 15th. Illinois isn't much farther from SC as Ontario.

I understand that the cars are shipped to central locations in Canada - typically Whitby, but some also go to Montreal. Then they are released by truck to the dealers. Unfortunately, the CN Rail strike may be having an impact. Some shippers are holding back rather than see goods tied up for weeks. Minister Blackburn has apparently told the parties to fix it or he will and they won't like the solution - back to work legislation.

The border is not a major issue as the shipments are all pre-cleared electronically and only a minor percentage are actually inspected. Unlike people crossing the border.

Still waiting - Car was produced at the end of January. The dealer tells me that it could be mid-March before I see it.

Count on approx. 23 days transit time from status 82 (off the line). Mine was 19 days from staus 82. Once they arrive in Toronto it's only about 2-3 days to build into transport delivery to Dealer. Here's a process: status 82 -off the line, quality check 3-days, Status 93- released to BMW Canada for load creation 4-days, then 98- railed to Toronto 12-days, till it lands at the dealer 4-days. These are all averages. Hope this helps. Good luck....the waiting is the hardest!

In Europe, we will have to wait for about 45 days for transport!
I oredred my X5 Mid feb and I wil get it Mid June.

I had an email from my dealer this morning giving me my serial number and advising that the car should be at the dealership in two weeks.
