I think that you can also turn off the Hifi System by pressing the Volume Button on the dashboard. (I works like that on my 5)

Only BMW can answer that. They could easily do it.... The computer software could easily replace the trunk release button to tell the car to start.

I am not sure they ever will.

Yes Gilles, but that still requires "deux sequences".
