I agree. I would have thought wood is the "safe" option and aluminum the sportier option. Aluminum looks great with black interior.

Which is why I went for Black Nevada leather with aluminium

Over here in UK BMW's with wood interior trim are (in general) not liked as it is seen as at odds with sporty image. However in a Range Rover (the proper one) you would only want the wood trim options there.

I agree. I ordered a Black 4.8 with Black Leather interior, wish I could do the aluminum instead of the wood to break up the black better and add to the sporty feel of the car.
