I also see you have a first generation MDX. I had one, a 2001, (One of the first 50 built, actually) and strongly disliked it. So I switched to an E53 X5. Now I have an E70.

And a few have vent.

I have both....didnt really want the ventilated part, but now that I have them Im glad I do. Reall makes a difference on those hot days when your back would normally sweat.

Its not even summer yet and I am happy I have this option...really makes a big difference.

I am from Southern California. It is not as cold as from where most of you are. Therefore, heated seat is not really must have option for me. Besides, my mdx has the heated front seat and I hardly use it. So why get a heated front seat option that I dont use it.
