Hate to restart an old thread but I have the sam question as the last post. What percentage would best MATCH the rear windows? 20% or 30%?

if your installer has the MADICO CHARCOOL series tint.. the MEDIUM shade is the exact match

Just looked at the madico website. The charcool comes in 15, 20, 35, 50%. So do you know if its the 20 or 35?

NY98M3 is on a distinguished road
I had a tint meter on the stock E53 tint. It read 38% on the rear windows.

35% is as close as you can get. That's what's on mine and it keeps you legal.

we asked dlr to match also

not sure of the %tint though i suspect 35 is close.
