KMPH only on Canadian 4.8i?

Just took delivery of my new E70 4.8i, and the speedometer only shows kilometers per hour. I have never seen a vehicle here that didn't also have MPH as well. I frequently drive to the US so it'll be a bit of an adjustment!
Is this standard?

BTW, the vehicle was delivered from Quebec if that makes any difference (I live in Ontario).

Pics will follow as soon as I have time to go out shooting!

The speedo only shows KMPH, but if you have hud or go into the vehicle menu in idrive you can change the setting to imperial units. The hud will show MPH.

Hmmm, I tried that imperial change, and I didn't see it change over. I was driving while I did it though! I'll try again when stopped.

you can definately change it. im from australia so i changed mine to display in km so i have a better sense of speed. obviously you can only change the digital output so i still have the speedo to make sure i wasnt speeding much. but it would be weird why the canadian speedo only has km while the US version has both.

There's digital speedometer output? Feeling like a real noob here. I did read my manual, but must have missed that!

If you don't have HUD, it is in car data menu. you can display this in the assistance window.

According to the manual, this displays "average speed".

Yeah, I played around with it today. It just changes the assistance window info to imperial, but there is no live MPH. That just blows my mind!
It would be a lot easier if the US just went metric!
