X5 vs. MDX

hello everyone. my mom is in need for a new car. we have looked at the Acura MDX which she likes, but she wants a BMW so badly. i know she knows nothing about the X5 she just knows its a BMW, lol. anyway since im the man of the house i do all the research. we can get a 07 MDX with sportpackage and tech package for about $42500 before taxes. I was just wondering what the X5 was actually selling for. Probably an X5 with technology package. thanks

The X5 is more expensive. If you are buying based on value/features, get the MDX. If you want to own a car that is fun to drive and looks a whole lot better get the X5.

If you search this same topic you will find two recent threads discussing this very subject, including lots of detailed comparisons.

The MRSP on the 3.0 starts lower if she doesn't care as much about performance/speed... BASE MSRP $45,900.
