Newbie Here

Hey everyone. Just wanted to introduce myself... I just picked up a 2007 X5 4.8is. The dealership had to locate the vehicle because they did not have the options and color I wanted. I guess they found one in MD and I am from Boston. So today hopefully I find out if they can get it or not, otherwise, they will have to order one from the factory. Either way, I have been part of the MB family for many years. I just got out of an E55. I have a 2007 328xi coupe and I absolutely love the handling. So I decided to go with the X5 as my E55 replacement...

The color combination I got was Alphine white on Gray. Interior color is not what I wanted but that was the only one available with the options I want.

The options are:

Sport Package
20" Y spoke Alloy
BMW Assists
PDC
Premium Package
Cold weather Package
Rear Climate Package
Technology Package
Comfort Access
Pano Roof
Third Row Seating - Something I didn't want but came with anyways.
Premium Sound Package
SAT radio

MSRP came out to be $71,250

After all these options the one option i was dissappointed on was that it didn't come with a 300.00 running boards option! I was soo dissappointed. How much do you think the dealer would charge to put on?

I am extremely excited and these are going to be the longest days of my life until I get the car into my hands! Ohh the anticipation!

I'll post pictures once I receive my car but for now I will be lurking and learning about this beautiful machine!

Thanks!

Christian

I think you probably can get the running boards installed as an accessory. I don't know if it'll cost more than $300 though since dealers do charge for installation.

Thanks guys... I have some bad news... They were not able to allocate the X5 in MD so now they are seeing if they can get a car in mid production. So its at least a month wait... Damn this stinks!

I wanted the car built to my specs. so I ordered it, you should do the same. It's worth the wait having it the way you want it.

So, the saga continues.. The dealership that I work with did not have in stock nor could they allocate what I wanted so I put a deposit down to order one from the factory with the options I wanted. In any case, another dealership called me, whom I have been working with prior to the last dealership and said they just got in a Saphire Black on Beige FULLY loaded. So I basically took it... Here are the options:

X5 4.8i - 54,500.00
Black Sappire Metallic
Sand Beige Nevada Leather
Cold Weather Package - 900.00
Premium Package - 2650.00
Premium Sound Package - 1800.00
Rear Climate Package - 700.00
Sport Package - 3600.00
Technology Package - 2600.00
Comfort access System - 1000.00
Running Boards - 300.00
20 inch wheels - 950.00
Multi contour seats with lumbar support - 1200.00
Heated Rear seats - 350.00
3rd Row Seats - 1200.00
Sat Radio - 595.00
Rear Entertainment - 1800.00

Total 74145.00
Destination Charge 775.00
Total suggest price - 74.920.00

I am very happy with the options. I should be picking it up on Thursday. Ill post pictures once I get it home!

Thanks

Christian
