The lip is attached to the non-slip side. That way it is concealed when the carpet side is up and it can fold under one side of the non-slip when it is not in use. My dog loves it - he has a good grip and can look out the back or if we put down the arm-rest in the back he can put is head between the two head rests and look forward.

Love the product I have had them in the last thress vehicle I owned.
Now I'm really confused (nothing new there!). The Weathertech site shows a liner for the 2006 X5, but not for the 2007. Are you saying that the 2006 liner fits the 2007 as well? (But since the cargo area is wider and longer, it must not be a very good fit--right??)

I didn't find a listing for the 07 X5 Cargo Liner on Weathertech's site either. Or did you mean the trim-to-fit Universal Rubber Cargo Mat? I ordered a set of FloorLiners and they already arrived, much faster turnaround than they were suggesting on the site. Now if I just had my X5 to put them in...

No, Weathertech has one specifically for the new 07 X5. You are better to call them, not all products are updated on the site or just order it from the dealer.

Thoughts?
I placed an order today so we will see what happens. I just want to use it when hauling dogs. Otherwise I will use the double sided mat when I can hold of one.

I have been waiting for them to get to my dealer. What dealer has them and will they ship to California?

Got this response from Weathertech:

Thank you for your interest in MacNeil Automotive.

At this time, we do not have the Cargo Liner available for the 2007 BMW X5. That piece should be available in the future. Please check back with us in 3-4 months, or fill out the "Product Request Form" found in the Customer Service section of our website so that we will be able to contact you when the Cargo Liner is finally available.

Is this only available as a BMW part ?

Thanks

Does the double sided cargo mat cover the fasteners in the floor? Looks as though it does...

Is the weathertech mat the only one that does not cover these?
