This is the "M-Sport" version for the UK market, not a "M" It is the same as the Sports Package option in the US, so we may see these changes added to the Sports Package.

This is the same on the X3 - M Sport in UK is the same as Sports Package in US.

Not an M-model. Just a M-sport kit, nothing more. X5 will not get a ///M badge, but X6 will.

Take a look at the X3. They had a M version of it in the US.

Not sure what that has to do with what I posted?

My intial reaction is positive, I think that this M sport version looks good in the photos. I just don't like the wheels. But I will wait to see the vehicle in real life before coming to a conclusion.
I like the fact that visible plastic material has been reduced to an absolute minimum.
It would be great if from the intial launch of the X5 buyers were given the option of having all the plastic cladding painted over. When I look at the M sport version of the X5 that is essentially what the exterior looks like, with the exception of certain design features.

Looks okay there but it's the front and side on views that I don't really like
