Apaprently they are only going to be releasing the 4.8 Sport at first. The 3.0d and 3.0i won't enter production until Q4. That is what has been posted on another Forum.

Guys sorry to be the bearer of bad news.... i had a call from my dealer. the M sport pack has now been release with out pictures in the UK..

its only on the 4.8 model to start and will not be on the 30d until Q1 2008.


im gutted. well off to spec up a none M pack now, i wanited 3 months for F-All

Dealers are taking orders but as per latest reports press release can now be delayed till as long as mid-June, and to come with 3.0sd press release. But dealers do have all literature but the detailed pics.

BMW is busy right now with 1-series coupe/cabrio press release coming last week of May.

Dynamic package: Active Steering, (Replaces Sport Suspension when ordered with Sport Package), Adaptive Drive, (Includes Active Roll Stabilization and Electronic Damper Control).
There will not be a ///M model for X5. But there will be a "is" model coming late next year with most probably a bi-turbo V8. If you want a ///M model, then you may want to wait for X6 ///M with new V10 engine.

The Dynamic Package is different to that in Europe. It includes Leather Seats, Sports Seats, Sports Steering Wheel, M SPort Suspension, Hi Gloss Shadow Line, 19 " Wheels and a couple of other things. It's the Dynaic Pack is cheaper for the 4.8 as it has a couple of those things as standard.

If you go to www.bmw.co.uk and look at the configurator you can see what exactly is in it. You may want to have some valium to habd when you see UK prices....
