spend the money
If you want to spend the money you can get a crazy set of asantis specially made, or if you want to spend more money go for the HRE's or even the rinspeed 23's would look really good but dont know about practicality of those wheels........ac's came out with new 22;s that look damn good also!

Don't count on it. Snows will obviously help, but you're still talking about a very wide tire with small sidewalls. 18's with snow tires will be a big improvement over the 20's. I had to do that with my FX and the 20's on that are not as wide as the 20's on the X5. Made a huge difference in NY, can't imagine you would be ok with 20's in Utah.

When we had the snow storms in Seattle, I was in a traffic jam bc people cant drive in the snow here, and started talking to a X5 4.4 owner. He either had 19 or 20 oem wheels. He was like how are you not slipping. I was like look at your tires and look at mine. Even though I had toyo proxies (not the best snow tire), it was very apparent my car was handling better than his. Also I am probably a better snow driver then him but back to the Chris24 comment, yes not only the type of tire but also the size of the tire makes a difference.

Ok that makes sense fellas! i might just have to consider doing a smaller wheel for the snow!
as far as the other rims you guys were talking about, does anyone have any pictures or suggestions with a picture of other options that you might think will look good on the X5?? |
