camera?

i was driving today , and when i was parking the reverse camera didnt work , the screen showed me a picture of a camera , but it didnt work , the green P light started blinking ( the button that is used to switch on/off the sensors) ... does anyone have this problem... what should i do?

it's kind of funny since the exact same thing happened to me today, however the camera worked after a few minutes but the park distance control sensors are not working. As soon as i have some more info i will let you know...............by the way i take it from your user name that your from the uae..... Did the x5 arrive at dealers in abu dhabi yet or are their still just a few on the street .............Salam

Did you try cleaning off the camera lens? There have been a few situations where our reverse camera did not work and when we cleaned the lens just with a towel or something, it started to work. It might have been a total fluke but I'd like to think that the dirtiness was the problem!

I had that happen and basically the camera failed. Dealer replaced the camera and problem did not return. The dealer can also see the fault when you bring it in when they download the trouble codes.

actually it wasnt working , and i tried shutting off the engine and then turn it on and it still didnt work... then it was off for about 2 hours and the camera works ....
