I can understand that but they have to take care of the customers that have paid the car already and don't have it.

Regarding the steering angle sensor problem, I had it when my M6 was just afew weeks old. It is really a hassle because this is a coded part which has to come from BMW HQ. However, may I suggest that you get your dealer to cannibalise the part from one of their showroom cars and replace once your part arrives. It works; its just whether your dealer wants to or not. Try suggesting.

Thanks for the suggestion, I may ask them to take the sensor from another demo X5 they have but I'm not sure if they would do it, and being a used part I'm not sure I want it... I would prefer a new sensor.
