Any links to sexy towing HITCHES?

edited: sorry, it's called a hitch. i put 'knob' which is misleading, as those are typically associated with shifting knobs.... sorry.

Looking for one of those HITCH attachments. Doesn't have to be fully functional and let me explain why:

I live in San Francisco, where parking is scarce. People that do park don't necessarily know how. I park on the streets, making my x5 very vunerable to the elements and terrible drivers. My bumper has been nicked a couple of times, and basically the HITCH is some insurance.

A jerk move? Perhaps. But people, learn to park! If they hit me, I'll probably hurt them more with that HITCH in place.

So that said, any links?

i think he's looking for a hitch that doesn't look like a hitch, but blends with the X and works like a hitch in the sense that it will protect his bumper if someone were to park and do the 5 mph bump on his car, they'll think twice because the hitch is there. is that right? if it is...not sure if there is one...i've seen chevys and fords with their emblem hitch covers, but not one for bmw.

I understand the premise but do you REALLY want to put some nasty looking hitch cover on your X? They have those propellers for the boating enthusiasts, that would do the trick but YUK!
My X (husband that is) had a bumper guard on his Envoy, it bolted on below the rear bumper and was curved almost like a boomerang shape. Some one rear ended him, he had no damage but the other guy didn't come out looking too good.

Remember? In one of blue's post of his X he had this HUGE thing sticking out of the back bumper. I think he was going down the same road. Anybody know where that photo is?

Edit hehe. I found it. Not a great picture though.

http://www.localbadge.com/StoreFront.bok they have some pretty cool covers. they even have a pic of an X5 with a hitch cover on the main page. but like cmyx5go says, it won't look that good, particularly on an X.

You can have the step which goes in hitch slot. You can see it in accessories catalog.
