opening windows from outside of car!

when holding down the unlock button on my key all the windows on my car lowered until i let go. love this feature. did anyone out there know this? by the way i dont have comfort access, if this matters.

Not sure in USA, but UK X5s all close everything including the roof if you hold down the lock button. It takes a while to start, perhaps 15 secs?

I think everyone knew about it. It is listed a bunch of times on this board and I believe it is in the owners manual

US models don't auto close for safety reasons (at least that is what was posted to this same topic on this board a while back)....Americans like lawsuits.

As far as rolling them down, my last BMW ('99 328i) did this, so nothing new. I don't remember if that one closed the windows also, but I think it did.

I know comfort access allows you to close the windows by holding the handle longer than just to lock the doors. I couldn't get it to do it remotely with the key, but I might have just given up too soon if it takes as long as 15 seconds (maybe I only held it for 10...?)...
