BMW Canada said that it is an aftermarket product and there is nothing they can do!
take plenty of photos and document every detail...then have your attorney send a demand letter....I would demand a new hood.

I agree, document every phone call, visit, transaction, etc... Then I'd try again with the dealership, unless you've already taken it up with the General Manager or owner or someone higher up than the service manager. If that doesn't or hasn't worked, call the better business bureau (if they have that in CA?), your lawyer, etc...

man that sucks guess i will NEVER ever go to that stealership.

it just amazes me how incompetent they can be.

perhaps you can have them refund you the money for the 3M and let them cover the cost to repaint the scratch and never go there again?

Without mentioning specific names, did you deal with someone with the initials of HW? I've dealt with him in the past on a trade in .... a rather unpleasant experience.

Deanlio...
Damn, that is a really sideways deal.

It's gonna be a "who struck John" situ, unless you
can get the Stlr to cave and do a first class re-paint
job on your hood.

I've never understood the clear covering, but that's
jes' me. I hope you come to a satisfactory resolve,
for you.

The icing on the cake is after I got the vehicle home I took a better look at the job. Now I see the passenger side headlamp lense all pitted and the bottom lip of the lense cracked all the way along. It looks like "stress marks" like a shattered glass patern. This is from a heat gun used to apply and probably remove. This definitely was not there this morning.

Calm down and think of the steps that are needed to handle the situation legally. I would start by documenting everything and take pictures of the damage for small claims court if the repairs are less than $5000 (not sure what the legal situation for Canada.) You should take your X5 to a bodyshop and get an estimate for court. In the mean while I would keep on pushing for them to rectify the situation. Problem is it will take time and the results are not immediate.
