Introducing Xena

I finally picked up Xena (the 3rd) on Friday.

Initial impressions, like it a lot! Ride is a big improvement over E53, much smoother and surefooted. Idrive is ok, found it relatively simple to make it work - don't know what the fuss is all about. Gear shifter is pretty simple too.

I've got the third row seats and I think that they are pretty much as advertised. I am 5ft 6in, and I found it relatively comfortable as long as the backrests on the second row are upright. I will only use them occasionally but they suit my requirements.

Spec is Space Gray 3.0si with Black Nevada leather (std seats) and Bamboo trim. Sports suspension, media package, 12 speaker stereo, 3rd row, heated seats and heated steering wheel.

Overall v.happy.

Nice ride! I agree with you. Now that I own an iDrive Nav equipped Bimmer, I'm no longer a naysayer. It's not a difficult system to use at all, especially if you take the time to learn all the voice commands.

Damn! I normally airbrush all my photos to show grey sky and rain rather than the sunshine we enjoy all year round. Tends to keep the roads a wee bit quieter here in glorious Perthshire.

Still not many E70's on the road in our neck of the woods so I'll keep an eye out for your nice ride SPete.
