I should probably know this, but I'll ask anyways...

Will there be a "higher performance" version of the X5?

I'm not all that turned on by the looks so far of the X6.

In this months "Car" magazine there is an article related to the new M3 in which the journalists get to visit the M factory where all the test cars and mules are built. They are currently building all the M3 press cars there. In the article they mention that they saw an X5 hidden behind a curtain! So maybe the X5 will get some M treatment. They do mention though that the factory is also used for "BMW Individual" cars as well though.

Only just seen this post. My scanner is rubbish but it has been posted over on BM3W. Here is the link http://www.bm3w.co.uk/ubbthreads/sho...&page=2#544695

You will need to register with the site to read it. It's actually a great site and although originally centred on the M3 there are a ton of knowledgable people on there and cover any BMW plus a few other manyfacturers that members have moved on to.
