Smile Monaco Blue e70 picked up today!

First off, thanks so much everyone for sharing your e70 experiences - frustration, satisfaction, anticipation, etc. I've been lurking for a while and put a lot of the advice on this board to use in deciding on my build configuration.

Picked up today:
4.8i
Monaco Blue Metallic
Black Napa Leather w/ Dark Burl Walnut Trim
Sport Package w/ 19s
Premium Package
Premium Sound w/ Sirius radio
Running Boards
Navigation System
Comfort Access
Heated Seats

Placed my order the last week of May. Amazingly fast build/delivery, no complaints there!

Some pics:

I can't post a lot of fair driving feedback yet because I've only put a hundred miles on the odometer, but here are some initial impressions from my first couple of hours behind the wheel:

- I love the iDrive. For anyone who has grown up with gadgets and technology, this is an easy win. Phenominal array of functionality with simplistic and intuitive interface. A few touch-ups from the 7-series introduction really sell it in my opinion.
- Sport seats are excellent. I had sport seats in my M3 and loved them and these are even better (upper back support!).
- Auto-leveling suspension from the sport package is a deal-maker. So far I think it's the feature that defines the driving experience and the predominant handling characteristics of the vehicle. Sure the V8 helps, but I can't handle a 'floaty' ride or the swaying of a top-heavy beast.

I will add more after some real time in the driver's seat.

:xoutpost:

That's a sharp looking X5. Monaco Blue is a great color except it ages like black so be sure to check out our detailing forum for good tips from Phil on how to keep that baby looking like new.
