E53 4.4i vs. E70 3.0i

hey, guys!~ I have a question.
Do you feel much more heavier when you drive E70 3.0i compare to E53 4.4i?? or you don't feel much difference between them??
I'm thinking about trading my current x5 for 3.0si so.... any opinion would be really appreciated!!

Well they are two different models of the car, it's like comparing a C5 Corvette to a C6. You can't really do it. Obviously the 4.4 has more horsepower and is quicker, however the ride will feel different and the entire appearance is different. I would suggest you drive both.

you would be a sucker if you made that move. It won't make you any cooler to have a new one but it would make you a lot slower off the line and everything thereafter.

The E70 is larger and heavier than the E53 and you do feel it. C'mon, the unladen curb weight increased over 300 lbs from the E53....do you expect that mass to magically not be felt?

They shortened the final drive on the E70 and gave it a 6-speed automatic. However, it won't feel as fast as your current 4.4i

I didn't mean to be "cooler" and I just love E70's new cool features..
I like my X5 but squicking... and rattlings...and i'm sick of it...
Dealing with that poor service department really sucks.
anyways, I'm gonna make that change but i'm not sure whether it's gonna be a 4.8i or 3.0si.
I just want to have some opinions.
i could get either a 3.0si with cool features or 4.8i with giving up some options.
if accelaration's not powerful enough in 3.0 compare to 4.4i then... I'll consider to get 4.8i.
now i'm going to testdrive both. I'll add some opinions later.

Your "Dealing with that poor service department really sucks. " issue isn't going to end, you're buying another BMW (probably from the same dealer) and you're buying a 1st run model.

That is very true...
if possible, I'd better move to somewhere closer to other dealershops for my X5's future. ha...
fortunately, there is another one near my house(30min drive. it's not that bad) and if needed I'll go there. 30min's much more worth it rather than letting them put the screw on my X.
anyway, thanks guys...
