question for all Tobacco interior owners..

I've been looking at on-line pics of the tobacco interior, and while it's not my first choice (the brown saddle leather is, but we're not worthy as Americans).. I'm not a huge fan of the other 3 choices, so I chose it. The problem is that I can't quite figure out the color.. some pics (like those from BMW's website) show a darker more even color.. where as the pics of actual interiors looks a bit more milk chocolate and shiny..

So my question to all of you Tobacco owners is... do you regret it?

Do you love your interior, if so why? if not why?

thanks!

I dont have it but I plan on getting it as long as BMW does not come out with a red exterior color, I have seen it in person and it is very nice, a classy color something new instead of gray, black or beige

we have it in the X3, and while it is not classy or sophisticated like black imo (which I have in the X5), it is a really interesting color and we all like it. It goes well with the two tone black and the light wood.

thanks for the responses. I wonder if the color doesn't photograph well, as when ever I see photo's, it doesn't look so good, but the BMW website makes it look great..

Keep in mind you will have a two-toned interior. This is why I opted for black, it is very elegant with an all balck interior. With other colors the backs of the seats and dash are still black, which imo looks cheaper.

This is just my personal opinion, others have different views.

I actually like the two tone.. I opted for the Sports package (among other reasons) because of the back headliner which will make the interior brown and black.. Looking at the BMW Ausie website where you can actually view the interior with bamboo trim, sports package, and my colors.. it looks quite nice, but the photo's on this website I've seen don't look quite as "Dark".

Photographs don't really do the tobacco interior justice. The actual color is darker than it appears in the photos posted here, and a bit lighter than represented in the BMW literature. Helpful, aren't I?

It is a beautiful, rich chocolatey shade...not shiny at all. It's different than the same old black/gray/beige, classy and elegant. Love it! (And we ordered it.)

thanks.. believe it or not, that is what I wanted to hear.. You made my wife and feel better about our choice. Our logic was the same as yours.. we've got grey on one car already, and the tan was bad for the kids in the Volvo.. and the black is simply too black for our taste.

You really need to go see it in person. I loved the way it looked on the BMW website, hated it in the photos I've seen, and finally saw it in person and decided that it wasn't for me. Looks very much like milk chocolate in real life (IMO). This is one of the few colors that you REALLY need to see in person before ordering.

unfortunately that's not possible as nobody has it... I just know that I don't want tan, black or gray.. I really don't get why BMW has limited the US market to 4 colors, and gave the rest of the world 2 or 3 more?
