I'm very sorry...bad joke.
Btw- the 25 year comment wasn't meant to say anything about your wife. what I meant was for me the insurance gamble doesn't make sense...sorry it came across wrong.

No problem. I'm just hypersensitive to wife beating jokes since my wife happens to be an assistant county attorney in the family violence division. I know you meant no harm. Sorry to come across so harshly.
The roads by my house nevertheless make road hazard warranties useful (assuming they work as advertised). |

The original link to the PDF isnt working and what I think is the replacement PDF doesn't mention anything about the ZP Assurance coverage. http://www.michelinman.com/media/en-...d-warranty.pdf. Wonder if this means there is no longer any "damage" coverage now.

Here's the response directly from Michelin:
Thank you for your email. We appreciate the opportunity to serve you. The Michelin Limited Warranty covers defects in workmanship and material for the life of the tread or 6 years from the date of purchase, whichever occurs first. Michelin Zero Pressure tires are also covered by the ZP Assurance Plan. If a Michelin Self-Supporting Zero Pressure (ZP) tire becomes unserviceable due to a workmanship or material condition or a road hazard injury during the first 24 months of service or before 50% of the tread is worn, whichever occurs first, Michelin will furnish a comparable new Michelin Self-Supporting Zero Pressure (ZP) replacement tire at no charge. No charge will be made for demounting/mounting/balancing, but the consumer will be responsible for paying any other dealer charges and applicable taxes. If a Michelin Self-Supporting Zero Pressure tire becomes unserviceable due to a workmanship or materials condition or a road hazard injury after the free replacement period, Michelin will furnish a comparable Michelin Self-Supporting Zero Pressure tire on a pro rata basis, up to 6 years from the date of purchase. After the free replacement period, the consumer pays the cost of demount/mounting/balancing and any other dealer charges and applicable taxes. If your questions have not been answered to your satisfaction, please call us at 1-800-847-3435 (toll-free) between 8:00AM and 8:00PM Eastern Time Monday through Friday. |
