Auto Wipers - any way to stay on?
My automatic wipers work fine, but I have to turn them on each time I drive (well, each time when it might rain, but this season in Florida that's every afternoon).
That's only slightly less than "automatic" isn't it? Is there a way to say "just stay on"? Incidentally contrary to several threads here, I find mine adjust quite nicely from intermittent to fast as it rains harder, and quit very quickly when it stops. |

the auto function turns off when you turn off the car. it's a safety feature in case you forget that they're on...like when going through a car wash. besides, when it rains, all you have to do is to push the button on the side

No, you've got to reactivate the rain sensor each time the vehicle is turned on. It's a safety feature so idiots don't drive through the car wash with them on.

Actually, this new one works better than the old one on my 2004. In the 2004, you actually moved the stalk up one position.
Next time you wanted them ON, you had to move the stalk down then back up again.

True, in the demo I drove I also noticed that the new one works better than the old one. Exactly as PatX describes.
Now it's just one button push to reactivate and in the old model you had to do something else (a little less logical). |

Wiper activate
I have a 2002 X and I'm pretty sure you can also flip the adjustment dial up one notch then back. I find it easier than nudging the stalk up and down.
Now that makes me sound excessively lazy!

I have also noticed that if you have your rear wiper on the intermittent setting and then turn the car off, you have to reset the feature after you restart it.

What about the fog lights? Anyway to make it so that you don't have to push the foglight button everytime your headlight goes on?

Why would you want your foglights on all the time anyways? Foglights are meant for fog, not looks. |
