I too know about first run vehicles.... I accept the problems I know I will encounter as they work them out. I have the 6 year warranty so I am good to go.

what did you pay for the extra warranty, and who did you go with?

I thought it was 7 yr/ 100000 miles for the next extension?

They have 4,5,6,7,10 Years

I purchased the 6 years/ 60,000 Mile Platinum warranty for $1985.

It has a $100 deductible.

Thru BMW the company is Fidelity Warranty Services, inc located in Deerfield Beach, Florida. 800-327-5172

One note.... You have to keep pulling till you CLEARLY hear the clunk when it releases. I did not pull hard enough and it was frustrating. Thought I was going to break it.

Drove it to the dealer and they replaced some defective module. Runs fine now....
yup you have to pull it HARD....it took a week for the module thing to come in and they updated the software as well.

I had to wait for the part to be ordered too.

The downfall of being a first run owner...
