E70 sales climbing

From BMWgroup release (worldwide sales):
BMW Sports Activity Vehicle Sales
Sales of BMW Sports Activity Vehicles increased by 14.9 percent in July to 5,212 vehicles over the 4,537 sold last July. Year-to-date, sales of BMW Sports Activity Vehicles are up 6.7 percent, to 36,395 vehicles compared to the 34,106 sold in the first seven months of 2006

BMW's X5 sales climb as Z4's fall

The company sold 2,312 X5s in July, a slight decrease from the 2,343 sold in the same month a year ago. But year-to-date sales remained through the roof, with 19,469 X5s being sold in the first seven months of this year compared with 15,985 for the same period a year ago - a 22 percent increase.

the numbers aren't as large as I would have expected. This makes the X5 even more exclusive.

I bought the '03 X5 thinking by the time I'm done with it (3-4) years, I'll get the new X5, right on time. So, when the refreshed E70 comes out, in about four years, I'll be getting one.

Here in Dubai, most X5s are 4.8s and equiped with the aero-kit. I think the old generation sold better than this one because it was more affordable.

The facelift X5 wil have bi-turbo inline 6 and bi-turbo V8. That will attract you enough.
