6 Disc changer issus

My 6 disc changer won't eject the cartridge. I think someone accidentally put a cd in upside down which I don't think would keep the cartridge from ejecting.
Anyone know how to get the cartridge out without taking it in for service?

it's an 05' X5 4.4l

You'll get more luck posting this in the E53 section. This is the E70 (new style X5) section, and in the new X5 there is no cartridge in the CD Changer!

I recently had a disc get stuck in my 6 disc changer. Putting a disc in upside down won't cause the problem. Trying to switch discs while the unit is already in the middle of switching a disc will cause a jam. Don't bother trying to unstick it by probing or prying through the side of the magazine. That is futile. You must remove the unit from your vehicle and take off the mounting brackets from both sides. Then unfortunately you have to partially disassemble the unit so that you can physically push the two stuck trays back into the magazine. Then reassemble the unit and reinstall. Takes about an hour. Its not a real hard job, just time consuming. The unit will function as normal once you unstick the magazine trays.
