Anyone get an ordered 4.8 anywhere close to invoice?

My local dealer hardly wants to move 500 off of sticker, so I am looking around for other alternatives.

If I'm going to travel or even have the car shipped, I was wondering if there are any large dealers going for around 1k over invoice.... or more than 3k off of msrp?

I searched in the archives and it seemed like the best deals were around 4% off of msrp.

yes, call around. there are many dealers doing close to invoice on this vehicle.... it was not like that originally, but it is now. just go elsewhere and if you're in a city, don't be afraid to contact dealers farther away.... you can still have it serviced anywhere.

$500 off of sticker is crazy - go elsewhere. You could also check out one of the dealer sponsors on Bimmerfest to see what they can do for you. I think one of the dealer sponsors is in NJ.

I emailed three dealers today and one semi-local got back to me with an offer for 3,000 off.

You both say that dealers are doing close to invoice, but I only found one post in the archives that mentioned this. Anyone here care to chime in with their feedback regarding their recent experience.

I appreciate all the responses so far!

every dealer I contacted when I ordered mine, did not discount, even out of state. well expect two the one I bought it from and one other one. and it was not $3000 off if that is your local dealer I would do it. you may get a higher discount on a in stock vehicle.

Yeah, it must be a regional thing...There are three main dealers I have been in contact with.

One is out and I don't want to pit the remaining two against each other, so I am going to decide a bottom dollar discount now that I know what is on the table and stick to whom ever can honor it.

These are quotes on an ordered 2008 vehicle.

Why Not pit them against each other? I walked out of the dealer that I bought 7 cars from, 2 this year. I shopped until I got what I wanted, don't we work hard for our money? $3,000 is the minimum you should settle for. I turned my 04 X5 in early dealt with BMW financial on early pull back. Don't be affraid to shop out of your area, and wait till month end, someone will deal.

I hear you, I'm used to getting the deal I want from my regular dealer. (they are a chain that represents all the luxury marks around here) I was very surprised that I had to walk out (twice) without ordering a car, whenver I have gone to leave a deposit, I have always ordered a car.

Anyways, so far their competitors are impressing me with their eagerness to earn a sale, so we will see what kind of price I can negotiate.

of all the cars I have bought, BMW seems to be the strickest on their pricing. Two Dealers let me walk over $500.

Exclamation

absolutely call around to as many dealers as you can. since you're so close to the SC plant, why not pick it up there? thats another reason to call around to get the best deal so you can also find a dealer who knows how to handle PCD.
