Anyone willing to guess on why the price list has not been released yet?

Could we be waiting for someone to return from vacation and approve the diesel?

What's your best guess on options?

There are production delays on the diesel due to a shortage of engines so I think there is very little chance of the US getting it at this stage.

Diesel will come around mid-2008 or so.

It appears BMW have obviously over commited !!! Due to the new engines I reckon there will be little new options probably just some reorganisation of packages... It is also interesting that the accessories are still damn hard to quantify as well.. most of the accessory part #'s are spread by this forum !!!

is the diesel expected to be as powerful as the regular 4.8? how much greater is the fuel efficiency? anyone know??

The Torque is monsterous, and the fuel efficiency is comparable or better than some Hybrids out there.

Arrrg! Could someone please change the title of this post?

I am sure the decision on how to allocate the diesel engine to various model lines and markets is part of the explanation for the delay. Of course, I am waiting for the diesel to be offered as an option in the U.S., and the delay is frustrating.
