Window Tint Recommendation
I have been quoted $650 for Huper Optik, $550 for Llumar, and $400 for Madico. This is for all windows + panoramic moonroof (not windshield). For some reason widow tint prices are kind of excessive in SF! What tinting film brands do you guys recommend. Last edited by HOiYA; 09-07-2007 at 04:03 AM. |

I have had bad experiences with Llumar (Formula 1 Tint). We spent a lot of money on tinting my car with Llumar film and when things did not go well with the tint, they basically could care less. I even contacted the company to try and get things resloved but they did not even make an effort to help. They only sounded nice over the phone but when it came down to it, they would not return phone calls and kept us waiting for answers. Eventually, we removed the Llumar tint and went with Madico. Good luck.

35% Llumar, also factory tinting on rear, looks fine. Nothing on the pano.
Cheers,

If you tint over the factory privacy glass, it is significantly darker that the indicated tint percentage? Not sure if that was clear or not. If you tint the privacy glass (which is already 35%) with say Huper Optik 40%, is that super dark or is it something between say 30% and 40%? I just don't want the windows with privacy glass to be way too dark.
