Anyone install a Laser Jammer?

Has anyone installed a Laser Jammer on thier e70? Where did you put the heads and how did you mount them? what type of jammer did you get? Also, anyone stealth mount a radar detector into the vehicle, I do not mean mounting it high over the RVM I mean totally hidden?

i have the Passport SRX... best system out there in my opinion. everything (radar and laser jammers) are installed in the grill and wired to a display under the left dashboard area... this is in a 2002 X5.

i'm thinking of getting a 2008 X5 and would buy the same SRX system again (i've heard they are getting ready to offer a NEW SRX system, probably similar to their new dash units, which include GPS radar memory, etc.)

i'd be intersted in pictures from others who have done remote systems in their new x5's.

Radar and laser

Just installed K40 and the Escort ZR3. Getting it back tomorrow, will let you know how it turned out. I think radar and laser protection is a must for this car!

Living up here in Ontario,Canada detectors are illegal. Police here run Spectre units (RDD) so the only detector I can use would be the Bel STi. I need to stealth install. However, I would love to see pics of the K40 and ZR3 when you get it back!!!!

Here are some initial pics. I was rushing and it was raining, so the pics are not great. FYI - the install was factory-quality. Very happy with it.

You are looking at a K40 radar intall and a ZR3 Laser install.

The K40 sensors are completly out of sight, as they can work behind plastic. However, the ZR3 sensors need to be in sight to catch the laser.

Car from a distance, you can't see the ZR3 sensors, as there is a perfect location to mount them on this car:

Here is their location:

A bit closer, still hard to see.

Closeup of the right-side ZR3 Sensor. I have one on each side of the car (see arrows above).

For the ZR3 alert box in the cabin, I had it mounted in the ash tray. That is still being worked on, so no pics of that yet.

For the K40, here is a shot of my cluster, you can see a red LED on the bottom right side. I had a tough time taking this picture, trying to capture both lights on at the same time. There are 2 red LEDs, one on each side of the cluster, although you can only see the one on the bottom right. The bottom right lights when radar is coming from behind, the bottom left hits when radar is coming from the front. This install was totally factory-quality.

I will take more and better pics after the weekend.

Very nice. How long did it take and what was involved with the install (remove bumper)? Where did they mount the radar horn?
